Classic FM says "Mendelssohn's Elijah was very much the Messiah of its day: a hugely popular work that absolutely cemented Mendelssohn’s position as one of the greatest composers of sacred music." If you would like to reserve your ticket for this riveting performance, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Rehearsals continue for Mendelssohn Elijah and the choir is really coming to grips with this tricky but beautful music as Robert guides us through its intricacies. Its amazing to have Alan boosting us on the piano and helping us with notes in detail. We are also looking at the story of Elijah so that we can fully appreciate and express the sentiment to our audience. Thank you to so many new members who have joined this term Its wonderful to have you all singing with us. As always we are on the lookout for new tenors!!!

Thanks to all who have signed up for this very popular Faure Requiem workshop on 23 February 2019 from 11 - 4pm at Watton Presbyterian Church, Brecon...we are almost full. The day will be exciting...coffee, tea and beautiful cakes during the break....and of course the magical Rob Evans guiding us through the day as he puts us through our choral paces with exercises designed to help vocal technique and tips for choral listening, following and blending skills.
One of his favourite Requiems, Rob says "It's beautiful music, designed to transport the psyche to a heavenly place. Think incense, garlic and Gauloise!"
And yes, the plan is to have a performance style run through at the end of the day. Registration is on Brecon Singers website. We look forward to seeing you there!.
